SELKIE F/W 2025, "LIBERTINE", A CELEBRATION OF FEMININE POWER

Ooh la la— Opulent pastels, panniers, and robe à la française garnished in lace, ribbons and ruffles with your majesty's signature pouf a la Belle Poule. Selkie's F/W 2025 runway collection, "Libertine" represents a spinning image of a modern day Rococo dream— one the Queen herself, Marie Antoinette, and this season's muse, would approve of: a celebration of feminine power.

Creative Director, Kimberley Gordon draws unique parallels between the revolutionary spirit of 18th century France and today's cultural momentum, stating "We're on the precipice of what feels like a revolution" she continued, "There's a lot politically that feels that way except now woman aren't held back in the way that they were in the 18th century".

Gordon was inspired by this extreme freedom of expression, she explains, "When cages were so large you filled up a room and having a boat in your hair was not only a norm, it was a political statement."
